Local educators stray Outside the Lines
The Davis Gallery resides within the offices of Davis Publishing, a Worcester-based art education advocate and publisher. So it only feels natural that their latest exhibit features the works of Worcester art teachers in a show that bridges the gap between education and community in a creative way.
Situated on the third floor of the Printers Building, separate from the Davis offices, Outside the Lines: Artwork by Worcester Art Teachers brings together a talented group of 21 artisans who practice what they preach – all are art teachers within the Worcester school system.

“We are a fascinating and quirky lot!” exclaims Ivanowski. “I think [the students] like to know that their art teachers are also artists. Elementary kids have unique reactions, such as ‘You mean YOU draw and paint?!’ and another student will reply, ‘Of course she does, dummy, she’s an ART teacher!’ “
